5000 people attended. Visa credit cards were used for purchase of ad packages. ASD team made a fine presentation with many new ideas/opportunities for members.
Here is an overview of the events from the rally:
1.The first run at the use of Credit Cards for ad packages went well although the number of people wanting to use credit cards was large enough that it created a long line. If you are going to be in Chicago or Tulsa or any of the rallies going forward .. If they use the credit card system again you should know that at the current time they are processing ONLY VISA cards. Visa Debit cards were being processed as well.
2. Those of you who had us purchase ad package purchases for you today WILL NOTICE: Your ad package purchases have POSTED TO YOUR ACCOUNT…… TODAY!!! Another experiment this rally, was LIVE …REAL TIME processing of ad package purchases. We managed to get our group in there and all were posted to your accounts TODAY, while we were sitting there! Again, most rally purchases may take 10-15 business days to post. However, you will notice that yours posted… TODAY. Being able to do that for everyone is a big step.
3. Don Peterson - The compliance director (good legal/law enforcement background) addressed items such as ASD becoming strict in all areas of compliance, from legal to tax to operating. More on that later but it is good to know that as they improve things they will “tighten up” member compliance too. The point has been made and understood that ASD has grown far faster then anyone could have imagined and they are working hard to keep it positive and successful.
To that end, he also addressed that some forums and bloggers who like to attack successful programs have now put ASD on their sights and ASD Compliance and legal has noticed it. The compliance director at ASD has an investigative background and has identified some of the worst offenders spreading inaccuracies, stories and lies about ASD and is in the process of meeting with an additional law firm to protect the interests of ASD and its members. We loved hearing that because some of you have recently asked us about some negative blogs, forums and websites. They will follow up.
They have recently dealt with TWO State Attorney General’s. In Florida there have been TWO complaints ..both resolved and a positive comment was made about how the business was run and what ASD is doing. The compliance director received a call from a representative of the Illinois Attorney General office as well. They are aware of the Compliance Director’s background. They asked about ONE complaint.. discussed it, and the complaint was dismissed and there are NO issues. The Compliance director went on to say that at the end of the conversation the person from the Illinois Attorney General’s office said he was impressed with ASD and its compliance department and said he was retiring soon and asked ASD’s compliance director if it would be possible to talk about exploring employment opportunities with the ASD Compliance division.
4. The new contractual partnership with GreenBackStreet.com was announced and obviously while many of us were learning about it at the Rally, Greenbackstreet.com sent the welcome email out to ASD members.
